This painting inspired Tim Paulson's famous "Half-way" story he's told around the world.  When this painting was half way done it was an abstract painting that looked like a failure.  Remember the quote, "Everything looks like a failure half-way through" (Rosabeth Cantor, Harvard University), Tim added Marilyn Monroe to the piece and it became an amazing success.
